Engagement Expectations for new members

• Weekly

  • Church - of your choice, weekly, that aligns with the GC statement of faith. several Christian traditions are represented in the community.

  • Chore - Each person has one chore like vacuuming, cleaning a bathroom, taking out garbage

  • House Meeting – Thursday’s 6-8:30pm (Three house meeting is held on the 1st Thursday of every month)

    *Additional three house meetings or new member interviews are scheduled as needed.

  • Outreach - such as Monday Potluck 6-8pm (which most of us do), or other outreach event with other Genesis members.

• Monthly

  • Maintenance - 4 hours per month (mowing, shoveling, painting, ect…)

• Other Frequency

  • Team - New members are on one team such as prayer, outreach, maintenance, Some teams meet weekly other quarterly.

  • Host -

    • Monday night Potluck - (about once every other month)

    • Help host two GC events each year (Harvest Party, Christmas Party, Nurturing Communities Network gatherings)

  • Retreats - Annual GC retreat, and annual house retreats (retreats are 24-48 hours long)
